Rachael Nachula loved to play football but her mother forbade it because she wanted her to focus on her education. Tragedy struck and she turned to sports for comfort. Soon, she had to earn a living from sports and drop out of school. She enrolled as a professional footballer. She was thirteen. Her speed on the field got her a track and field scout. And so she began a track champion.
First local 200m race and she won. From 2003 to 2011, she won 400m, 200m and 800m races at the Olympic and Commonwealth games. After ten years, she went back to football in 2014. In 2019, she won the Golden Boot at the Council of Southern Africa Football Association ( COSAFA). Zambia lost the chance to win the cup. Since then she has played football at the Olympics and won the African Cup of Nations.
Nachula is thirty-seven years old. She is five feet seven inches tall.
