The first time Herlene Budol caught our attention was when she withdrew from the Miss Planet International Pageant initially slated to hold in Uganda 2023. The organizers in Uganda had a glitch and Ms Budol quickly withdrew from the pageant and flew back to the Philippines.

After her withdrawal, some other countries followed suit and the pageant was finally cancelled and postponed. It finally took place in…. but only fifteen countries turned up. Maybe reluctant to spend more money after spending time and money to appear at the initial venue in Uganda. Some never even turned up like Miss Nigeria.

Anyway Herlene did not turn up at the Miss Planet International Pageant and will not turn up at Miss Tourism World in Sri Lanka either. She will however be at another international pageant yet to be announced.
