MU ’24 vs MI ’24 both have our attention because while one is winding down to a close, the other has just kicked off. Miss International 2024 would be crowned on the 12th of November, while Miss Universe 2024 began 29th of October.
Though Miss International debuted eleven years after the Miss Universe pageant, it is up to par. Miss International is one of the big four pageants of the world. So while Miss Universe is holding her 73rd pageant, Miss International is holding her 62nd one. While Miss Universe holds her pageant in various parts of the world, Miss International has all her pageants in Japan. This policy makes it possible for people from all over the world to know and explore Japan. Therefore, MU ’24 vs MI ’24 must draw attention in particular.
Finally, between MU ’24 and MI ’24, there are more African contestants at Miss Universe pageant than at Miss International pageant. Along with the fact that Miss Universe has more winners of African descent than Miss International has. Miss International Puerto Rico, Valerie Hernandez made history so much that there is a doll winner for her. It is named Miss Doll International 2015.
As for Leila Lopes, the first indigenous African Miss Universe in 2011, Africa went wild. Even the world became more hopeful. She won the crown exactly ten years after the first indigenous African, Agbani Darego won the Miss World 2001 title.
Do you know that number of African contestants at Miss Universe are over twenty-five? That is covering the diasporans and home-based? One would have concluded that this is the largest turn out at any international pageant but we still have Miss World to compare with.
